Request for information

To achieve more sustainable (public) procurement of solar panels, the Sustainable Solar Panels Guide has been developed. To ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of this resource, we would like to request this information on behalf of the Community of Public Buyers for Sustainable Solar PV, one of the communities of the EU Public Buyers Community Platform.

We kindly request your participation by providing detailed information about your two most sustainable PV module series. Below, you will find the Letter from EU DG GROW and our Request for Information (RFI) document, which outlines the specific data and supporting documents we require. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • General information about your company and panel series;
  • Supply chain transparency (e.g., production locations, labor practices);
  • Carbon footprint assessments and certifications;
  • Material composition (e.g., PFAS, lead, antimony) and recycled content;
  • Technical lifetime, durability, and recyclability;
  • Any additional sustainability certifications.

To respond to the request, we ask you kindly to:

  • Complete the requested fields in the RFI for each of your two most sustainable panel series (additional series are welcome).
  • Attach relevant supporting documents, such as datasheets, certificates, test results, or supply chain maps.
  • Return the completed RFI and attachments to solarpv@pianoo.nl, the public authority leading the work of this community of practice.

We greatly appreciate your time and expertise. Should you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at solarpv@pianoo.nl. Thank you for your cooperation.
